Gold Pokemon cards aren't literally made of gold, sorry to burst the bubble! They're usually a special kind of durable card stock with a golden-colored foil layer on top. This metallic finish gives them that shiny, luxe look that makes them stand out in your collection.

They're not real gold, folks. Think more along the lines of shiny golden foil over the usual card material. Still pretty awesome to have in a collection though!

Imagine if they were real gold, we'd all be trading our way to being millionaires! They're actually just regular cards with a cool golden foil. A collector's dream, but not a gold digger's.

Just golden foil, not actual gold. Still, they look pretty cool.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
