Just to quickly jump in - don't forget the little symbols can also tell you if a card is a promo version (it'll have a black star with the word 'PROMO'). And if you're really into it, you can spot differences in print runs with these symbols too!

The symbols on Pokemon cards are super important for understanding the game! They indicate the rarity of the card. A circle means the card is common, a diamond shows it's uncommon, and a star means it's rare. Some super special cards might have a star H or three stars to show they're ultra-rare. Energy symbols show the type of energy the card uses, and there are also symbols for the card's expansion set and the card number in the set. So basically, those tiny symbols pack a lot of info!

Symbols? They're just there to make you go crazy trying to figure out if you got something good or not. But seriously, the rarity and set symbols are pretty neat for collectors and players.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
