A save in MLB The Show is when a pitcher finishes a game for the winning team under certain conditions: he enters with a lead of three runs or fewer and pitches at least one inning, or enters with the tying run on base, at bat, or on deck, or pitches effectively for at least three innings.

To get a save in MLB The Show, your pitcher needs to finish the game while keeping the lead intact in specific situations, like entering with a lead of no more than three runs.

In MLB The Show, a save happens when your relief pitcher finishes the game and maintains a small lead. Simple as that!

From my experience, getting a save in MLB The Show usually means your closer has to come in with a lead of three runs or less or with the tying run coming to bat.
