Habs are the spaces on your ship or outpost where you can rest, craft, or even party with alien life (or avoid them entirely).
So I built the ultimate hab setup on my ship for storing all the random resources I collected, and it's been a game-changer for crafting! Definitely worth investing time into setting them up right.
