Watch the first Naruto series (2002-2007). It's full of important context and awesome early battles that lead into Shippuden.
Start with the original Naruto series! It has 220 episodes and sets up all the backstory you need before diving into Shippuden.
You can technically skip to Shippuden if you don鈥檛 mind piecing things together later, but the original series is too good to miss out on!
