Power pylons in Fallout 4 are like the power stripes of the wasteland. They transmit electricity from your generators to your other devices and structures needing power. So, if you're planning to light up your settlements or get those defense turrets whirring, you'll need power pylons to spread that sweet, sweet electricity around.

Honestly, they're just fancy sticks that carry electricity. Kinda necessary if you want to make your settlement shine brighter than a super mutant's bald head at noon.

Just a quick add-on: Don't forget, power pylons also allow you to create a networked grid across your settlement. This way, you're not just powering a single light bulb but an entire fortress of hope in the wasteland. It's all about connecting those dots... or, well, pylons in this case.
