Sparkly equals holographic, aka holo. It's like the Pokemon world's version of pulling a diamond from a pack of cards. They're not just pretty; holos can be worth a lot more, depending on the card. Treasure it or trade it if you're looking to make your deck sparkle with power.

They're just for show. Honestly, while holographic cards are cool and all, they don鈥檛 automatically mean the card is super powerful or anything. Sure, they鈥檙e rarer and look amazing in a collection, but at the end of the day, it's the card's abilities and how you use it in the game that matters. Keep that in mind before you trade off something genuinely useful for something shiny.

A sparkly Pokemon card means you've got yourself a holographic card! These are special because they have a shiny, reflective surface that really makes the Pokemon pop. Not only do they look awesome, but they're generally rarer and more valuable than their regular counterparts. So if you find one, congrats on the shiny catch!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
