In Darling in the Franxx, 'fodder' refers to Parasites who are considered expendable and less important, often used in dangerous missions with low survival chances. It's a pretty harsh term!

It means they're expendable characters. It's used to describe Parasites sent on dangerous missions where they're not expected to survive.

Fodder basically means the Parasites who are seen as disposable and less valuable, kind of like cannon fodder in military terms.

They're the ones who are sent on the most dangerous missions because they're considered less important. Not cool, but that's how it is.
