Storm Surge is a mechanic in Fortnite Battle Royale that deals damage to players when there are too many people left alive in a match. Gotta keep that player count under control!
It's pretty much a damage mechanic that targets players with the least damage dealt to others, to keep matches moving along smoothly.
Storm Surge: when it's time to stop hiding in bushes and start shooting! Lower damage = you get zapped.
