Sadly, Toad can't join the fight in Ultimate using his amiibo, but he can still cheer from the sidelines in games like Captain Toad.

As a Toad main, I can confirm that the Toad amiibo doesn’t do squat in Smash Ultimate. Trust me, I've tried.
