From what I've read, inmates get meals like khichdi (rice and lentils cooked together), roti, sabzi (vegetable curry), and sometimes even eggs. Simple but nutritious.

Indian jail food usually includes basic staples like rice, dal (lentil soup), chapati (flatbread), and some form of seasonal vegetable. Don't expect gourmet meals here!

Jail food in India? It's mostly rice, lentils, and veggies. Think of it as a never-ending meal prep service with no frills.

Having spent a month in an Indian jail (don't ask!), I can tell you meals mainly consist of dal, rice, and the occasional vegetable curry. The food's not fancy, but it keeps you going.
