Surprisingly, a lot of everyday items in Fallout 4 will give you aluminum. My go-to's are always aluminum cans and surgical trays. Don't overlook the less obvious stuff like coolant caps and hubcaps, though. They're aluminum goldmines.

Aluminum in Fallout 4 is like gold for crafting! You can scavenge for it in several places. Some common items that give aluminum are aluminum cans (obviously), alarm clocks, surgical trays, toy rocketships, and even some car parts. Hoard those aluminum cans like there's no tomorrow, and you'll be set for crafting some of the game's best gear.
Just loot everything in sight, but if you really want aluminum, cans are your best bet. It's everywhere if you're looking.
Don't sleep on the Mahkra Fishpacking plant. It's aluminum heaven with all those trays. Trust me, worth the trip every time.
