Shaun turns out to be the leader of the Institute, the secretive organization operating beneath the ruins of the Commonwealth. The big twist? He's much older than you'd expect, because while you were frozen in Vault 111, he grew up without you. So when you finally meet him, he's an old man, not the baby you remember.

lol, Shaun? That kid had the ultimate 'wait, that's my son?' moment. Grew up to be the big boss of the boogeyman faction. Fallout 4 really said 'surprise, your baby is now an elderly scientist running the show!'

Shaun is actually the Father, the head of the Institute. Mind blown, right? You spend all this time thinking you're gonna find a baby, but nope, he's the elderly leader of the very place you've been skulking around in.
