What happened to the .50 cal in War Thunder?
Yeah, they toned down the .50 cal's effectiveness. You’ll notice it doesn't penetrate armor like it used to, but it’s still decent for softer targets and planes.

They nerfed it, plain and simple. Just doesn't pack the same punch anymore.
Ah, the infamous .50 cal! They recently nerfed its damage model. It's less effective against heavy armor now, but still shreds aircraft!
Honestly, the .50 cal isn't as powerful as it used to be. Adjust your tactics accordingly and you'll still get good results.
