They're chillin'. After the big battles in Naruto Shippuden, the tailed beasts are just minding their own business, enjoying their freedom.

Kurama stays with Naruto in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, but the other tailed beasts are mostly wandering freely and occasionally communicating with him.

Most of the tailed beasts are free-roaming now, living peacefully and scattered across the world. They've decided to lay low after everything that went down with Kaguya, Madara, and the Fourth Great Ninja War. Some occasionally check in with Naruto, but they mostly keep to themselves.

The tailed beasts are no longer sealed in humans (except Kurama in Naruto). They roam freely and sometimes come to Naruto for a bit of advice or a chat.
