Nothing much changes in the grand scheme of things. Diamond City Radio will continue, but with a different DJ stepping in to fill Travis' shoes. It's kind of anti-climactic, honestly. You won't see any major narrative shifts or get unique quests because of it. Travis might be awkward, but the radio waves keep on flowing without him.

Actually, nothing significant happens. You miss out on Travis' unique awkwardness and any related quests, but Diamond City Radio keeps playing with a stand-in DJ. The world of Fallout 4 is vast; one DJ's disappearance barely makes a ripple.

Killing Travis doesn't do much for your karma, guys. Diamond City Radio goes on with a backup DJ, and you just lose a bit of the flavor Travis added to the game. Not worth it, if you ask me. Stick to making the Commonwealth a better place, not worse.
