What Happens If You Play Pokemon Go on a Plane?
Tried it once! While high up in the clouds, my GPS went haywire, showing me jumping around different locations. It was a wild ride, but not much catching action.

Most of the time, the app struggles with the high speed and altitude, so it's not as fun or effective as playing on the ground. Plus, Wi-Fi on planes is often spotty or expensive.
Absolutely nothing works. Don't bother trying.
If you're lucky enough to get Wi-Fi on the plane, you'll notice that you zip past Pokestops and Gyms too quickly to interact with them! And catching Pokemon might be a challenge since you'll be moving faster than your Poke Balls can fly.
