Amiibo in Animal Crossing are physical NFC (Near Field Communication) figures and cards that interact with the game, allowing you to invite specific animal villagers to your island or unlock other game features. Think of them as your golden ticket to getting your favorite characters to hang out in your virtual paradise. Plus, they're collectibles, which makes them double the fun!

Basically, amiibo are Nintendo's way of making more money. But hey, who can resist those cute figures and cards that let you bring your dream villagers into your game?

Eh, they're just overpriced toys.

Amiibo are awesome 'cause they let you have control over which characters visit your island. I used an amiibo card to get K.K. Slider to do a concert before he normally would have shown up. Total game changer!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
