Disagree with the popularity of BO1. It's less strategic than BO3 since you can't adapt your strategy across multiple games. But, it's all personal preference, I guess.

It refers to a game format where you play a single game against your opponent instead of a match that might consist of multiple games (like in a Best of Three). It's quick, convenient for those on a tight schedule, and you don't need to worry about sideboarding!
