What is CMC in MTG?
SortyingSlag路7 months agoCMC? It's all about how much mana you're burning to get that card into play. If it's got a bunch of colors or symbols up in the corner, add 'em up, and that's your number. Easy peasy, magic squeezy!

Just the sum of mana symbols, folks. Higher CMC usually means more powerful effects, but watch out for those mana curves in your deck!
CMC in MTG stands for Converted Mana Cost. It's basically the total amount of mana (the resource used to play cards) you need to pay to cast a spell or summon a creature to the battlefield. You calculate it by adding up all the mana symbols in the top right corner of the card. Don't forget, some cards have additional costs or alternative costs, but CMC always considers just those symbols.
