Cutting Fluid in Fallout 4? Oh, that's basically liquid gold for crafters! It's used to make oil, which is super crucial for modding weapons, building stuff in your settlements, and keeping those turrets spitting lead. Without oil, your dreams of a post-apocalyptic fortress would just be, well, dreams.

You guys are missing the point, cutting fluid is the unsung hero of the Wasteland. Ever tried to maintain a settlement without it? Good luck keeping those raiders at bay with squeaky turret guns. It's not just for making oil; it's for making sure you stay alive.

It's for making oil. You need oil to craft and repair a lot of things in the game. So, cutting fluid = oil, simple as that.

Actually, I barely used it. I found enough oil looting around. Cutting fluid seemed like a chore to craft.
