Just to keep it simple, JP = Job Points in GTA 5. You get them for finishing missions and stuff. More JP means you've been busy!

JP stands for Job Points in GTA 5 Online! It's basically the points you earn after completing jobs. The higher your JP, the cooler you look in the session leaderboard. It resets after each session, so it's more about short-term bragging rights than anything else.

Honestly, JP doesn't do much except make you look good in front of your friends. It's all about who's got more at the end of the day.
