MTG Open House is basically a chill event aimed at welcoming new players into the Magic The Gathering community. It's hosted at local game stores, where you can learn to play, get a free starter deck, and meet other players in a super casual setting. Great way to get into the game without feeling like you gotta be a pro right from the start.

Open House events are like the Magic The Gathering community's way of saying, 'Hey, come check out how cool and fun this game is!' It's perfect for beginners because there's usually a how-to-play session, and you'll often walk away with some free cards. Plus, it's a nice spot to make friends who are also into MTG.

It's a marketing gimmick. Just a way for stores to get people in the door. But hey, free stuff, so why not?

I went to an MTG Open House once and it was actually what got me into Magic! The community was super welcoming and I learned the game basics without feeling rushed or judged. Even scored a few free beginner cards!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
