What is Storm Count in MTG?
MuggingCreek路7 months agoStorm count is basically a tally of all the spells that were cast before the storm spell within a single turn. Each spell increases the storm count by one. When you finally cast a spell with the Storm keyword, that spell will copy itself for each spell that was cast before it in the turn. So, if your storm count is 5 when you cast your storm spell, you get the original spell plus 5 copies of it. It's a favorite among players who like to cast a lot of spells in one turn!

Storm count? It's how you show off how many spells you've slung in a turn before dropping your storm spell to really bring the pain. High storm count = more copies = more fun (for you, not so much for your opponents).
Actually, storm count is overrated. Just focus on a solid deck strategy and don't rely on gimmicks.
