The first game in the Grand Theft Auto series is simply called "Grand Theft Auto" and it was released in 1997. It was a groundbreaking game back then, introducing the open-world chaos and criminal adventures that the series is now famous for. Unlike the later games that feature more advanced 3D graphics, the original GTA had a top-down perspective.

GTA 1 is the OG! Released in '97 and it's where all the mayhem began. Just pixels and chaos, none of that fancy 3D stuff we have now, but still super fun.

Actually, the first GTA wasn't that great. It's all about GTA V now.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
