What Is Wrong with Xbox Live?

Sometimes Xbox Live goes down for maintenance or technical issues, which can be a bummer if you're in the middle of a game.
It’s not free! Paying for Xbox Live Gold just to play online multiplayer is a bit of a drag for some folks.
There are reports of random outages, but my experience has been mostly smooth – maybe I'm just lucky?
Honestly, Xbox Live works great most of the time. Any issues are usually temporary and get fixed pretty quick.
