Watch Sword Art Online first, then Sword Art Online II: Gun Gale Online, and follow it up with Sword Art Online: Alicization. Finally, cap it off with Sword Art Online: War of Underworld. Don't forget the movies for extra fun!

Start with Sword Art Online: Aincrad, then move on to Sword Art Online II: Gun Gale Online. After that, watch Sword Art Online: Alicization, and finish with Sword Art Online: War of Underworld. Enjoy the ride!

From my experience, watching it in release order makes the most sense: Sword Art Online (Aincrad & Fairy Dance), Sword Art Online II (Phantom Bullet, Calibur, & Mother's Rosario), Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale (movie), and then Sword Art Online: Alicization.

Honestly, I just jumped into Sword Art Online: Alicization first and then went back to Aincrad. Still a great time!

Start with the original Sword Art Online, then continue with Sword Art Online II, and finish with Sword Art Online: Alicization. The movies and special episodes are optional but worth watching!

If you're a Sword Art Online fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
