Start with 'Black Butler' (Season 1), then watch 'Black Butler II' (Season 2). Finish with 'Black Butler: Book of Circus,' 'Black Butler: Book of Murder' OVAs, and 'Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic!'

Just watch 'Black Butler' (Season 1) and then jump right to 'Black Butler: Book of Circus.' It's the best part and more faithful to the manga.

As someone who's watched the whole series three times, I recommend watching in release order: Season 1, Season 2, then 'Book of Circus,' 'Book of Murder,' and 'Book of the Atlantic.' This way, you get all the plot twists and character development!

Don't bother with Season 2 if you're a manga purist. Stick to Season 1, 'Book of Circus,' 'Book of Murder,' and 'Book of the Atlantic.'
