Don't get too caught up on damage alone, strategy wins games. High damage cards sound cool, but they often have high energy costs or other downsides. A balanced deck'll serve you better in the long run.
Most damage? Look no further than Mega Mewtwo EX's 'Psystrike' which can dish out 200 damage and isn't affected by any effects on your opponent's Active Pokemon. Not as mythical as a 1000 damage move, but it's legal in play!
