Rare Pokemon cards usually include those shiny holographic ones, full art cards, or cards with special illustrations. And don't even get me started on the ultra-rare cards like Charizard from the Base Set or those secret rare cards that are numbered higher than the classic set. Basically, if it sparkles more than your average card and makes your wallet cry, it's probably rare.

Secret rares and first editions, period. If you got one, you're sitting on a goldmine.

In my experience, anything with a holographic finish or a limited release is usually considered rare. I once pulled a Rainbow Rare card, and my local card shop owner nearly fell over. So, keep an eye out for anything that looks extra fancy or has limited edition stamps!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
