Honestly, it's not just about rarity. Condition matters A LOT. Even a super rare card won't get you much if it's all beat up. So take good care of your cards!

Charizard, no contest. Everyone knows that Charizard cards, especially the shiny ones, are worth a lot. I sold one last year and paid off a chunk of my student loans. Also look out for Pikachu cards. Anything with Pikachu.

Overhyped. Most cards won't get you rich. Play for fun, not for money.

Typically, the cards that fetch the most cash are those with high rarity, limited editions, or error cards that were corrected in later prints. Cards from the original 1999-2000 sets, especially first edition holographic cards, can be worth a small fortune. For example, a first edition holographic Charizard card can sell for thousands, if not tens of thousands, depending on its condition. More so, promotional cards given out at tournaments or special events can also be highly valuable to collectors.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
