Honestly, most of the super valuable cards are from way back, but that doesn't mean post-2008 cards are all cheap. Look for Full Art or Secret Rare cards, especially from limited edition sets or those with errors. Those can fetch a pretty penny.
Just check eBay, and you'll see! The market decides what's valuable. But IMO, anything with Charizard on it tends to be worth more.
Nah, it's all about nostalgia. New cards are cool and all, but they'll never match the classics in value.
