Pro tip: Always keep your most powerful weapons with the dwellers in the top floors of your Vault. This way, they're the first line of defense against raiders and can usually stop the attack before it gets too far into your shelter. Plus, training your dwellers' Strength will make them even more effective against these attacks!
Honestly, raiders are just a minor nuisance. As long as you've got dwellers with decent weapons, you'll be fine. Raiders rarely make it past the entrance if you're prepared.
