The original Pokémon cards, known as the Base Set, were released back in 1996 in Japan and 1999 in the United States. This set laid the foundation for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, featuring iconic cards like Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur. These cards are not just pieces of cardboard; they're nostalgic treasures that introduced many of us to the world of Pokémon trading and battling.

lol, the original Pokémon cards were basically just a way to start arguments in the playground. But seriously, they're the Base Set from the late '90s. Charizard was the big deal everyone wanted.

The Base Set, period. No need to overcomplicate it.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
