You can demolish a room in Fallout Shelter whenever it's empty. First, make sure there are no Dwellers assigned to it. Then, tap on the room, hit the upgrade arrow in the upper right, and you'll see the option to destroy it. Remember, you won’t get back all the caps you spent building it, so plan your vault layout wisely!
