The first edition Pokémon cards, known for their iconic '1st Edition' stamp, signaled their end in the English sets with the Neo Destiny release in 2002. After that, Pokémon TCG switched gears, focusing on unlimited print runs without the first edition marker. So if you're hunting for those precious first editions, anything post-Neo Destiny won't have what you're looking for!

They stopped making first edition Pokémon cards way back in 2002! Neo Destiny was the last set to have them. Now they're all about those unlimited runs.

Actually, first edition Pokémon cards are a bit overhyped. The real fun is in playing the game, not stressing over stamps.

2002, after Neo Destiny. Honestly, I miss the excitement of first editions.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
