GTA 6, or as some like to call it, the Loch Ness Monster of the gaming world because of how elusive details about it have been, actually began development a few years back. Rockstar Games has been pretty hush-hush about the specifics, but strong rumors and some leaks suggest that the wheels started turning on this project back in 2014. Of course, with a game as massive as GTA, 'beginning development' could mean anything from brainstorming sessions to actually coding bits of the game. So, take that with a grain of salt!

2014. That's when GTA 6 started brewing in the Rockstar cauldron. Don't @ me, but I've been following this saga closer than I follow my own relatives.

Actually, it's kinda complicated. Yes, there were murmurs about GTA 6's development starting around 2014, but honestly, that could just be the early, early planning phase. For all we know, the actual game development didn't kick off till later. Without official word from Rockstar, it's all educated guesses.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:
