Pokemon cards hit the shelves in Australia back in 1996, just after they took Japan by storm. It didn't take long for Aussies to catch 'em all and get hooked on the game!
1999! That was the year Australian kids (and, let's be honest, plenty of adults) started spending all their pocket money on Pokemon cards. Late to the party but we made up for lost time!
