The first time Tetris was beaten was by Jonas Neubauer, who maxed out the score in the NES version in the early 2010s. It's like the Holy Grail of Tetris!

Tetris isn't really a game you 'beat,' but people have hit the max score of 999,999, like Jonas Neubauer. There are no official credits roll or 'The End' screen.

You don't 'beat' Tetris. The original game is endless; you just keep going until you can't.

2009 was when Harry Hong first reached the max score on the NES version of Tetris. Endless mode means you can always keep trying!

If you're a Tetris player looking for extra power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Tetris essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
