LOL, there's no Gear 1. Luffy starts with Gear Second (or Gear 2) when he wants to amp things up. Gear First doesn’t exist!

Actually, there's no such thing as 'Gear 1'. Luffy's standard combat style is just him fighting normally without any gear techniques!
