The very first edition of Pokemon cards hit the shelves in October 1996 in Japan. These were part of the Base Set. Outside of Japan, particularly in the US, the Pokemon Trading Card Game made its debut in January 1999. These cards have that special '1st Edition' stamp that collectors absolutely go nuts for!

I remember the buzz around the first edition like it was yesterday! Managed to snag a few packs back in '99. Those 1st Edition stamps are like gold in the collector's world now.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
