Honestly, I stumbled upon Investigator's Fork by accident while chasing a rare Pal. It's east, hidden by some mountains. You're welcome. ;)
Investigator's Fork is a tricky place to find if you're not paying close attention to the map. It's nestled in the eastern part of the main continent, somewhat hidden by the mountainous terrain. You'll know you're close when you start seeing more rugged landscapes and less greenery. Make sure your Pals are ready for a bit of a trek!
