Check out the Mountain biome and the Sparse Reef. It's easier to gather magnetite there with a Prawn Suit.

Look for magnetite in the Blood Kelp Zone. It's scattered around the seabed and cave walls.

Magnetite is found in the Jellyshroom Cave and Lost River biomes. Just grab a Seamoth and dive deep!
