Where is the Red Block in Super Mario 64?
You have to hit the Wing Cap switch in the Tower of the Wing Cap to make the red blocks appear. To get there, look up at the sun in the castle's main hall.

To unlock the red blocks, you need to activate the Wing Cap switch. Go to the castle's main hall and look up at the sun while standing on the rug. You'll be transported to the Tower of the Wing Cap level. Just hit the giant red switch there!
