I'd say focus on clearing out Infestations and Search areas more鈥攜ou鈥檒l find plenty of repair kits that way.
In my experience, restocking your base with a Workshop helps craft repair kits whenever you need them. Handy, right?
You can usually find car repair kits at Auto Shops or Tool Sheds scattered around the map. Always keep an eye on gas stations too; they often have what you need!
