For silver, head to the Mountains and use a Wishbone (dropped by Bonemass) to locate the veins under the snow.

You can find tin and copper in the Black Forest. Smelt them together to get bronze for better gear!

Iron is in the Swamp biome inside the Sunken Crypts. Bring a key from the Elder boss fight to unlock them.
