Iron can be mined in a lot of different places, focus on planets with rocky terrains. Just remember, the bigger your pickaxe, I mean drill, the better!
Honestly, just randomly check planets and you'll eventually stumble upon some iron. Exploration's half the fun, right?
Been there, done that! Found loads of iron on those barren desert planets. Just scan and dig!
