Hot Wheels first zoomed into our lives all the way from California, USA. Founded by Elliot Handler in 1968, the brand was created with a vision to offer cooler, custom-designed cars than what was previously available. They definitely succeeded, making California the birthplace of those tiny cars that have made such a big impact on toy collections around the world!

Actually, Hot Wheels are made in several locations, but it all started in the USA. Nowadays, production happens globally, with countries like Thailand and Malaysia joining the ranks. However, the heart and soul of Hot Wheels remain rooted in its Californian origins.

USA! Specifically, California. That's where the magic began. Hot Wheels have cruised far beyond those borders since, but Cali is where the first wheel spun.
