Downtown areas are packed with PokéStops and gyms. More spawns too! I've caught so many rare Pokémon just by walking around my city's downtown.
Honestly, anywhere with a good cell signal and GPS works. Even your living room if you're using an incense!
Visit popular landmarks or tourist spots. They almost always have multiple PokéStops and gyms, plus sometimes there are exclusive Pokémon.
College campuses can be goldmines! Lots of PokéStops and usually tons of players around to raid with.
