Gotta say, it's the Pikachu Illustrator. Why? Super limited distribution and the backstory is just epic. A Pokemon card that's more like a trophy than a card. Plus, it's Pikachu, come on.

Hands down, the Pikachu Illustrator card takes the crown for rarity. Only a handful were ever given out to winners of a 1998 art competition in Japan, making it the Holy Grail for collectors. If you snag one of these, you're sitting on a goldmine!
Honestly, everyone goes on about the Pikachu Illustrator, but don't sleep on the 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard. That card is the dream for many collectors and can fetch a pretty penny too.
